Dubrovnik-diving Aquarius is situated very close to a variety of attractive diving locations suitable for beginners and experienced divers as well. The water transparence is superb due to the rocky coast and high depth of the water The 60 m long Italian ship "Taranto" build in Rotterdam in 1899 is laying on the bottom of the see in 22-54 m water depth .Trying to escape from an English submarine in 1943 the boat collided with a sea mine and foundered.
The 150 m long Italian supply vessel "Columbia" bombed by English airforces in world war 2 is laying on the bottom below the Konavli stones. The boat is superb preserved and is laying in the water depth of 57-85 m. Near the diving center there is a smaller 15 m long iron fisher boat laying in the depth of 35-40 m. You can also dive accros many walls which are falling up to 100 m into the depth. One of these walls is the outer side of the St. Andrija Island which is considered to be the most beautiful wall in the Adriatic Sea. You can find there red corals, gorgonians and many kind of fish.

Among the caves our sea surface is famous for two positions of antique wrecks with more than 1800 amphora in 25-30 m water depth. The amphora are dated 2-3 century before Christ. The second finding is on 30 m depth where giant ceramic dishes are found. Some of the dishes (“pithos”) are 2m broad. They belong to one of the rare in the Mediterranean.

For photography enthusiast among the earlier described sites we mention the frequent encounter with sun fish and turtles which are leaving the calm sea towards surface giving you occasions for some unforgettable images.
